Save the Children

Save the Children is a leading independent emergency relief and development organisation for children. We work in 120 countries including Australia assisting more than 125 million children each year. Save the Children Australia implements programs in 33 countries around the world. Save the Children started helping children in Australia in the 1950’s. Our first Australian programs focused on early education for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children. With significant growth since then, we now run education and child protection programs for disadvantaged communities at 100 sites around the country. Save the Children has been running programs in Victoria since the 1950s. With a strong focus on early childhood care and development and community programming for culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) families across the state, Save the Children has built strong and effective programs that improve learning and protection outcomes.
